Working with Jupyter notebooks

Deepnote is compatible with core Jupyter notebook functionalities.

How to import.ipynb files

There are two ways to import .ipynb files into a Deepnote project:

  1. Drag and drop .ipynb files into the NOTEBOOKS section in the left panel.

2.1 Click the + button in the FILES section and select the Upload file option.

2.2 After uploading the .ipynb file, open it and select Move to Notebooks. Once it's in the notebooks section, you can open it and begin your work.

How to export .ipynb files

To export a notebook as a .ipynb file, click the three dots next to the notebook in the right panel and select Export as .ipynb.
